Prepare your vehicle for a tow

Prepare the details an operator needs and document the vehicle’s condition when it is safe to do so. Confirm the loading method and destination before the tow.

What you'll learn

  • What to tell the operator before arrival
  • How to document existing damage
  • Why vehicle-specific transport instructions matter

Step by step

  1. Confirm the pickup pin, destination and vehicle year, make, model and drive type. Tell the operator if wheels are damaged or the vehicle will not roll.
  2. Remove valuables and loose personal items if you can safely access the vehicle. Keep needed documents with you.
  3. Photograph the vehicle’s condition before loading when safe, and point out existing damage.
  4. Have the key available. Ask the operator how to handle alarms, electronic parking brakes and any model-specific transport settings.
  5. Review the manufacturer’s transport instructions with the operator. Do not assume all EVs use the same transport mode.
  6. Confirm the price and scope before authorizing work. Quick Tow is a referral line; you hire and pay the independent operator directly.
Safety note

Keep your own photos, agreed quote and tow receipt. Ask the operator what condition record they provide; Quick Tow cannot promise a particular operator’s documentation procedure.
