Step by step
- Stop wheelspin and check for immediate danger. Call 911 for an emergency or notify a park ranger if available.
- Record your GPS pin, beach entrance and nearest mile marker. Tell the operator whether you are inside Padre Island National Seashore or elsewhere.
- Describe the vehicle, drive type, how deeply it is stuck and whether water is approaching. Send photos only if you can take them safely.
- Before using traction boards or recovery gear, check the vehicle and equipment instructions. If you cannot use them safely, leave recovery to a qualified operator.
- Ask the operator to confirm access, suitable equipment, the complete quote and an estimated arrival time.
Padre Island National Seashore does not tow private vehicles, and cell service can be unreliable. Do not assume Quick Tow can arrange recovery at every beach location.
